Hey,  It has been a while... We are trying to finish our Spring Sports Season, but the weather is not cooperating... Baseball, Softball and Track and Field are all pushing towards sectionals...

We have just finished Advanced Placement, ELA 7/8 and Math 7/8 testing... Before we know it... Regent's week will be here...

Some important dates...

• Prom/Post Prom - June 4 & 5
• Last day of classes - June 14
• Senior Banquet - June 17
• Senior Awards/Baccalaureate - June 24th
• Graduation - June 25th at 11:00 on the soccer field

Welcome Back...

Hope you all had a great Spring Break... too bad we had snow on last Saturday...

Testing is beginning at Mayfield Junior - Senior High School... within the next two weeks we have English Language Arts and Math for grades 7 and 8... and Advanced Placement examinations for United States History, Psychology, and Biology...

Spring seems to be here... FINALLY!  students and teachers... 1 week to go till Spring Break... Hang in there...

For those of you who follow my BLOG... Mayfield Junior - Senior High School will be almost completely "Paperless" next school year...

Our E-School Data student management system will portals for both parents and students... all announcements/notices/etc. will be posted there... with a simple login and password... parents will be able to view report cards, progress reports, attendance, schedules, and more...

We hope to have a "Kick Off" of this just before this school year ends, and be completely up and running in September...

Still waiting for Spring to arrive... the last thing we needed was more snow... even if it did not last... our Spring athletic teams have not been on their fields or on the track yet... still snow covered...

They now have to travel and play games without ever practicing on a real field... just gym work!!

A snow day... not a bad way for students to begin this week...

Congrats to all in the MTA for putting on a great show on Friday, and for raising a great sum of money that goes to scholarships for our graduating seniors...  Hey... Big Surprise... the faculty won... AGAIN...

Dessert Theater is on for this week... Thursday, the 10th at 7:00 p.m.

Welcome Back

I hope everyone had a nice vacation... We come back to a delayed start, and an icy morning... The stretch from March to Spring Break is the longest run without time off during our school year... We all need to show patience and understanding...

Big Event of this week... our annual MTA Game... Friday, March 4th... featuring 5th and 6th grade basketball... the elementary dance team... our cheerleaders... games, fun and more...

Oh, and one other thing... the Faculty will absolutely demolish the Seniors in the basketball contest between the two...

Come and out watch... All proceeds go to the MTA Scholarship Fund... A truly, worthy cause...

Vacation Looming

Good Morning...

This is the last week before Winter Break... I think everyone needs it.  This winter has caused a lot of "Cabin Fever"... We all need some time away and some fresh air...

That said... a lot is going on this week...

• Sectional Pairings are coming out for Boys Varsity Basketball
• Sectional competition this week for Boys Bowling, Nordic Skiing and Boys Swimming
• We have a Board meeting Tuesday, the 15th at 7:00 p.m. 
• I strongly urge you to attend...

I hope everyone has a nice week... and that it goes quickly... We might see 50 degrees this week... Again THINK SPRING...

Well, my Super Bowl pick was not so good... Oh well, always next year...

• MasterMinds today at Broadalbin - Perth
• Cross Country Ski Invitational at Lapland Lake on Thursday, the 10th...
• Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, the 12th... hosted by the boy's soccer team...
• Band Booster's Community Dance on the 12th also... returning alumni also performing in a all-star Jazz Band...
• Boys and Girls basketball teams playing in the W.A.C. Tournament this Saturday at F.M.C.C.

Spirit Week

Hey,  Today is the culmination of our annual Spirit Week here at Mayfield.  Today we will be running a shortened schedule (Assembly Delay).  We will call the entire student body down to the Gym for a Pep Rally at 1:15 today.  Students will compete for the Spirit Stick by chanting... "V.I.C.T.O.R.Y.".  The loudest grade wins.  Many students think this is a "fixed" contest in that the Senior Class always seems to win.  My message to is... SCREAM!!!  SHOW YOUR SCHOOL SPIRIT!! 

We do recognize our Fall and Winter athletes and coaches... The cheerleaders will most likely do their competition routine (with a twist and a surprise).  There will be loud music and it will be a lot of fun.

Come support our Boys Basketball program tonight against Fort Plain... Senior Night... Begins at 6:00 p.m.
